BREATH ing HEART – Art installation at Art Basel 2017

BREATH ing HEART is an art installation of a walk-in heart, in which up to 20 persons can lay and sit at the same time. This heart fills itself with air and pulses in a breathing rhythm accompanied by light, video, scent, and sound. All happening in the 1600 square meters of the historical water filter building where the visitor experiences to be inside their body.

Art installation by Johanna Keimeyer during Art Basel 2017 at Filter 4, Basel.

A NEW DAWN – Dance performance with light show at Hotel Oderberger

Event only for press and invited guests on September 29. For more info or requests, please write to press{at}keimeyer.com

For the re-opening of the former public swimming pool Oderberger, Johanna Keimeyer presents a dance performance with five dancers and a light show to celebrate the new beginning of the renovated indoor swimming pool at the heritage-protected public baths. The performance will take place in the indoor swimming pool. This is the centerpiece of the baths, which have been extensively rebuilt into a hotel during the past four years.

With the title, A NEW DAWN, Johanna Keimeyer stages the revival of the over one hundred year old baths. The German composer, Sven Helbig provides the music and Huong Nguyen aka Mimi accompanies with her live voice. The dance will be performed by Christoph Viol (Got 2Dance, Pro7), Jadi Carboni (Sasha Waltz, Scottish National Theater), Franka Marlene Foth (dancer, choreographer), Ayam Am (in cooperation with Michel Comte, Geishafilm), Olivier Ozier-Lafontaine and Johanna Keimeyer, choreographed by Jadi Carboni, assisted by Franka Marlene Foth and Christoph Viol and complimented with a light show executed by Ioannis Mihailidis (Studio Farbraum).

Johanna Keimeyer connects different art disciplines in her works. In this production she connects fashion, dance, music and light design.
